n your first session, your therapist will take time to get to know you and understand what you’d like to focus on in therapy. Toward the end of the session, there will be time to address any questions you have and go over the details of future appointments.

Therapy offers a safe space for you to share your story in your own way. You might begin by discussing what’s been happening in your life that led you to seek therapy. As you explore, you may start to notice connections between your present situation and past experiences.
